Pleco blotchy skin

Ive seen some posts on this, but Im still not convinced its merely stress.

When we introduced this pleco to our tank about 3 weeks ago, we noticed some discoloration immediately, but over time the blotchy skin is getting more and more prominent. Almost looks like large streaks of paleness.

I will attach a photo. :cry:

Could it have had a condition like ich, and now its getting worse? Or is this really stress?

..... what do I do, just wait?

that is normal pleco coloration. The natural pattern of a BN pleco is the calico striping you see here, it is meant to blend in with the river bottom. The dark coloring you saw at first and in the store is the stress coloring.

Oh that is so nice to hear that it is feeling "at home" and is much less stressed!!! You are definately doing something right! Good job.
