Oscars like ants!

I was sitting outside and saw a really big ant walk by, I remember reading that oscars can eat basically any live insects to help supplement their diet, I put it in the tank and my O went crazy! You could tell it was his first and he just wanted more. I put another small one in there later to try to give to one of the blood parrots to see if they'd like it, they kept trying to go for it and the oscar cut in front and gobbled it up.

I'm sure it will make for a good trick when company is here :lol:

Oscars eat anything, mine ate a gecko that fell in the tank, a friend of mine told me her's ate cockroaches. Mine one at the moment loves prawns.

lol, yeah....my fiance and I have had fun with it. Coming home tonight we saw a crickit on the sidewalk so we scooped it up and watched them all enjoy it! :lol:

Ants do work. I wonder if they are nutritious.:squint:
My penguin tetras keep munching on falling ants.:roll: I had a praecox rainbow(now deceased) whose mouth was swollen after the ant bit him.:blink: It healed soon after though.
