Not sure whats wrong with my Electric Blue Ram?

Hey I'm just wondering if anybody happens to know whats wrong with my fish, I've had him for about 2 months and I noticed this white spot starting to form on his head about 9 days ago. The scales have fallen off around the spot and a groove has started to form. (Also don't mind the algae, I had a bad bloom of it this past weekend. Someone left my window open while I was gone and the sun was shining directly onto the tank, I am current dealing with it.) From what I've noticed, no other fish have any white grooves and spots on them.





Any Ideas?

Sorry for the late reply, not sure how I missed this but it looks like he's hit himself on something. What kind of decor do you have in the tank?

My female GBR had similar white spots on her head that were a big smaller. She had about 4. A couple of weeks later, the spots were still there, and she became less active, then stopped eating. I lost her not long afterward. Keep a close eye on him. Let's hope its just a slight injury.

Hopefully, that or a bacterial infection but I believe those are normally black spots not white. And it's not possible to contract HITH from what I know, the parasite that causes it is too large for our fish to infect.
