Is my Molly pregnant?

I have two dalmatian mollies, one of which is a female. When I bought her she was really skinny like my male, but in two weeks she has doubled in size. The first photo was when I brought her home, and the second photo is a current photo of her. I have not noticed her hiding out anywhere, but she is a little meaner than when I first brought her home. Is it possible that she is pregnant and if so, when should I look for her to have the fry?

no but if you move her in the late stages she will reject the new tank and be full of stress so move her early if you want babies or have natural selection and take the surviving fry from the tank she is in

start by getting a filter, and putting some nice lighting (2w/gallon)... thene sponge over it to protect the baby fish (or a floss bag). don't put any gravel, and get lots of plants to help the babies hide, especially near the bottom. feed them hikari baby bites (powder) to start and increase to crushed flakes as they grow... good luck, and if you need more help pm me!

Frozen baby brine shrimp will be gobbled up by the fry as well as crushed up veggie flakes. I raised my baby platies on those two things until they were old enough to eat the variety my mature fish eat. (I used the Omega One brand).

So sorry--I wonder why they died? Did they look abnormal in any way? I'm sure you'll have plenty more in the future, so don't despair too much. Hugs.

I am not sure why they died. I know one of them had a funny swim, but the other looked fine as far as I could tell. I am going to check their water and see if there was something wrong with the water, but there shouldn't be. I do a 20-25% change every other day and sometimes once a day (I am not using a filter in their tank as it is a 20 gal. with only 10 gal. of water. I checked it on the 24th and it seemed nearly perfect, but I will check it again just to make sure. It is just the thought that I lost the only two babies I could save. :(
