Is hot melt glue toxic to freshwater fish?

Hi Everyone

I searched through the forums and couldn't see an answer to this particular question. I'm looking to hot melt glue some rocks to something to put into the fishtank (to make a cave kind of thing), but i wasn't sure if hot melt glue was toxic to fish.

The glue i'm referring to is the stuff you get at the craft store, and you put the glue into a gun so it gets really hot, burns your finges, then dries like clear plastic.

i would use that. the olny glue that will be fine is silicone where u can find at pool or pet stores

I have personally used it to quickly glue plastic plants to the bottom of my aquarium because I use very little gravel and the plants anchor better. It is also easier to pull them off once stuck as opposed to silicone. Take a look at this article non-toxic is the key.

some of the decor we got at feeder supply has hot glue on them to attach the plastic plants.i don't know if there is a toxic and non-toxic version of the glue but i do know there is high temp and low temp also some of the glue sticks look more clear then others.
