Injured Neon Tetra help

I have reset a 29G high tank recently. Yesterday, I bought 10 neons. While tranferring them from the bag to the tank, my hand slipped and the bag collapsed around (I thought) 3 of the fish. I then realized that there was one still in the bag. I got it out and placed it in the tank. It has been acting very strangely since then. It seems partially paralized, unable to stay horizontal, often is upside-down and its body is bent slightly. The only way I know it is still alive, is that its fins are still moving. I don't know if I should euthanize it now or give it more time to possibly recover. I feel like crap that my stupidity is causing this creature so much pain. Any suggestions would be appreciated. By the way, all of the other fish are doing fine.

Welcome to the forum!

We've all killed a fish by accident. I'm not a fan of letting fish suffer, so I would probably euthanize.

Various ways. Sme put them in a small bag of water in the freezer, but I am not partial to this as it draws out the fish's demise and I prefer something very fast. I net the fish out onto a sheet of paper towelling, quickly fold it over several times and hit the "bump" hard with my hand once. It kills the fish immediately and you see nothing. I know of no quicker or more humane way.

I know this going to sound terrible, but in my opinion it meets all the requirements for "humane", at least as I see it. It's fast and effective.

For small fish, I use the garbage disposal. I put the fish in a cup of water, turn on the sink, turn on the disposal and pour the cup in. It's instantaneous, and you don't have to seeit or clean up after it.

An ice bath is another good one. Get a cup of ice water, let the water get really cold and then drop the fish in. The temp shock stops the heart and they die within seconds.
