Dry Fertlizer Question

I trying to determine if I have this doseing correct..

Is this correct: 10tsp of KN03 in 250ml of water gives N03 as 1ml = 0.73ppm, so 10ml would be 7.3ppm and I would do this in my 72g 3 times a week to reach the weekly of 20ppm.

I also read that you can add 1 tablespoon to 250ml each 1ml will result in 1.08ppm of N03 in 10 gallons. So I have 72 g of water. So 7ml = 1.08 in my tank... To get to my target of 7ml 3 times a week I would need to dose what?? 7X1 to get to my tank size and then7 times the 1.08ppm to get the dose... 49ml three times a week.. Sounds high but this is the only I can figure it out..

Once I figure how much to add to 250ml for the KN03 premix and then a dose for the 72gal tank I'll be fine with the other fertilizer.

Really hope I made sense here..

I would have to look at a fertilizer calculator to help you there. The first one sound right. Though your overall dosage sounds kinda low that depends a lot on nutrient uptake though. What I have always done with KNO3 is use a standard starting value then just monitor nitrate levels. Because things like bioload add significant amounts of nitrates.

Thanks for the reply.. I did a little more home work last night and did this conversion... I used 360ml as the bottles I have have a 15ml line so I don't have to guess. Do you think I have the math right..

+/- ¼ tsp (20ml) Trace Elements 3x a week
50% weekly water change

Two Month Mixture (24 15ml doses) mixed in 360ml distilled water
KN03 Target 20ppm Per Week
3/4 tsp 3x week = 2 1/4 tsp week x 4 weeks = 9 tsp = 3 Tablespoons = 12 doses
6 Tablespoons = 24 15ml doses
Calculator shows .4ppm per 1 ml x15ml dose = 6ppm dose x 3 = 18ppm a week
KH2P04 Target 1ppm per week
1/4 tsp 3x week = 3/4 tsp a week x 4 weeks = 3 tsp = 1 Tablespoon = 12 doses
2 Tablespoons = 24 doses
Calculator shows .2ppm per 1 ml x15ml dose = 3ppm dose x 3 = 9ppm a week
Note: This just doesn't work out anywhere.. but all the sites recommend 1/4 tsp three times a week. I'll stay with the recommended dose for now.
Plantex CSM
1/4 tsp 3x week = 3/4 tsp a week x 4 weeks = 3 tsp = 1 Tablespoon
2 Tablespoons in 500 ml and dose at 10ml 3x week
