are you sure it's daphnia and not planaria? are they little wormy looking things?

 

There is some planaria but i know planaria from daphnia.
Planaria does not look like a small white "ball".

do u have fish fry? they wont eat the shrimp but will eat the daphnia.. or just do more water changes and suck em out.

buy a small group of SMALL fish (guppy male , danio, platy ) they will soon have your tank looking clean and daphnia free

 

I believe all 3 of those will eat shrimp fry if they see em.

 

oh i must have mist the part that says shrip fry, sorry but if you didnt have shrimp fry then these fish would eat your daphia

 

I am going to rehome all the shrimp in another tank and put in the shrimp tank 20-30 rasbora galaxy.
7 days later i will have 0 ugly bugs and i'll give the rasboras back to their owner and put my shrimp back in.
As for catching the shrimp that is easy. No food for 3 days then i simply put in the tank a bottle that has a funnel in it's mouth and put lots of food inside. Starving shrimp will do almost anything for some grub...
They will swarm inside the bottle like bees in a hive.
Then the evil rasboras can go to work. :twisted:

lol sinister plan.. din't know you had that many. i'm hatching baby brine shrrimps now. my bettas into it's 3rd spawn in a week.

Instead of moving the shrimp... Why not just get some fish fry or small fish (neons, CPDs, etc) and put them in with the shrimp. They'll eat the daphnia (along with a few baby shrimp) and then you can get rid of the fish.

I know, this is basically your original idea, but why move the adult shrimp at all?

 

I have been crossbreeding red cherry and snow ball for a good while now. I actually have some interesting results but nothing to drop the jaw(best i got by now is a red cherry with a nice white line from it's head to the tail and it's not the normal white lines you see on red cherry, it's a thick and strong white line that i have never seen on red cherry ever in my life, be it on the internet or in my aquarium). What if those small shrimps that the fish might eat are exactly what i am waiting for? It is a risk i rather not take.

 

use a clothe net and scoop out the daphnia

 

It would take me less time to replant a lake than catch all that daphnia
