Actually its more cruel allowing them to slowly freeze to death... Your supposed to get an almost frozen glass of water with ice cubes and stuff and drop him into it.

Did you cycle your tank? That could be why your fish are dying.

 

um... yeah.. they're probably stressed enough from the move. they need some aquarium decor to hide in and swim around or they won't feel safe and will get more stressed and die. deff get some stuff in that tank. i would probably want to die if i were in a glass box with a bunch of other people and nothing pretty to look at. it's like the difference between a cold, dark jail cell and a comfortable home.

You didn't answer my question, did you cycle your tank before adding fish?

 

i added some of my water after 25 mins to bag and then after about an hour put some more in the after an hour i put them in the tank ,the tank is fine

It can take like 4-6 weeks to properly cycle a fish tank.

You must add a source of ammonia, but you've already done that. Then you let it run for a while and it does everything itself. You need to buy a liquid master test kit, preferably API. Pretty much everyone here uses that one. And it will test for ammonia, nitrite, and nitrates. Ammonia and nitrites are deadly to your fish so watch out. If you want your fish to survive you'll have to be doing daily small water changes to keep ammonia levels safe. I'm sorry to say this, but I doubt your fry will make it.

or you could try biospira lol xD youll prob end up using the whole bottle this will speed up the process it works for me x3 idk if itll work for you but since their saying its going to die anyway the best bet is to try a bottle of biospira(ALL OF IT) depending on the tank like one small bottle is for a 30gallon so if you get a medium itll be for a 50gallon :3 or so though it costs 10dollars so its better to try also try adding some plants and feed the fish microscopic food

again prob a large bottle of biospira and use a dusty product(looks like salt just ask for it in specialty store not petsmart prob a fishstore) its called Ph neutrolizer so thatll be good too

As for your friends tank, high nitrates aren't TOO bad. Depends just how high we are talking. My nitrates are always really high, like 20-40 ppm. Anywhere from 5-40 ppm is safe. 40 is on the high side. Thats probably what mine is though. And I have tons of plants :?

i went to get some fish (endlers ) last night and got them home did everything and got up this morning and 3 were dead 1 was also dead when we got home but i think he has give me o few days old babys as they were small i bought 5 adult males 5 adult females and 10 fry but thought they would be bigger one was disformed its tail was not straight poor thing i know this sound mean but if my fish have a disformality i but them in a bit of tank water and put them in the freezer as there not the same as healthy ones so that puts them in a coma and they die as the water slowy gets colder its a quicker and easyer way for me as some people just flush them alive CRULE people .
the adult males seem to be doing there job mating with the adult females but im worried i may loose all the babys

MY SWORDTAIL IS GIVING BIRTH YIPPEE ITS ACE WATCHING SHES HAD 4 SO FAR THERE DOING FINE

 

15 babys now but she ate 5 gutted they keep swimming into the top part of the birthing tank

If they don't read this thread, you might want to PM willow or Amphitrite. Both are experienced fishkeepers who live in the UK so will probably know more about good UK-based online stores so you can save some money on shipping.

here are the new additions to the family ,there doing great so far i have took the plants out to get better pic but are back in now so they can hide
