Something is wrong with my tiger barb?!

My new tiger barb that I bought yesterday looks like he has no mouth or it's always open or something. I did notice this yesterday and have asked what is wrong with it on other forums but haven't gotten a response. Can someone please help ASAP!?!?

Poor fish :(

Since you just got him yesterday, I would def. bring that guy back. He has some kind of infection whether it's fungal or bacterial. Did you have him in quarantine by any chance or was it added to a community tank?

If you can't return the fish for some reason, can you give us more details about your tank and other fish?

Welcome to the forum.

Animal testing is a terrible idea; they get all nervous and give the wrong answers.

I have determined the fish has mouth RoR and am currently treating him in a quarantine tank with fungus guard. But it doesn't look like he is going to make it. His mouth is completely gone to where you can see clearly down his throat and he's laying at the bottom on his side. He's still breathing. I couldn't return him because I got him for cheap and to make the trip back to the store would have costes more than 6 of these little guys. Btw the other one died (got sucked into filter after tail was bit off) I hope none of my other fish get sick
