Question Columnaris Angel??

I'm devastated my angel is sick! He looked like he has ich and fungus Friday, but within a few hours it looked it like almost disappeared. I still went out and got tetra fungus guard and have been treating him since. I just did a 30% water change, and noticed my ammonia is a bit high. My ph is also sitting at 8.0....aand I can't lower it no matter how hard I try. Anyways before I did my water change today I checked him out and his still got red around his pectoral fins, and now he's got what looks like just fungus on him and his fins are clamped. Isn't he supposed to be getting better?? I did notice I added a new angel with fungus (hubby wanted to surprise me and isn't aware), but I treated the sick one separate and it's fine, as well as all my other fish

I've been told conflicting things about salt, and haven't used it.

I also have kuhli loaches, which are scale less fish and apple snails. Are there any mess I can't use?? Also my loaches aren't affected at all, and being scale less I thought they'd take first.

If there is magic on this planet, it is contained in water
