Rusty sometimes literally yawns while he sometimes floats. What does this mean in betta fish. Can sakura or another experienced betta fish owner please
reply.
It's the same thing that happens basically when we yawn. We take oxygen in and they just fill up their Swim Bladder with air and then sometimes bubbles are released afterwards, that's the excess air I believe from the swim bladder. It's normal.
Thank you everyone. Yes, I do see bubbles when he does this at times.
I thought he was gasping for air due to his water parameters being off; so to be a good betta owner -- I gave him a water change.
