Chubby....cute....LOACHIES! Oh they're so cute! My little black kuhli's are getting kinda chubby too. Well, the girls are, wonder if that means anything other than chubbiness.

Those tanks are so pretty. Just gorgeous. My attempts at planting are still..."Find spot in gravel or sand, bury roots, make sure stays down...watch grow" o-o Serious cave ladyness going on here. xD Oh hey, they do grow, I just don't seem to have a knack for actual landscaping in a tank. Gimme an outdoor garden and it might happen, but tanks seem to be more difficult to get planted in a way that is like what you got going here. lol Which is absolute gorgeousness.

Wait...I thought that's how we're supposed to do it?!!! o_O
Thank you, Sylver - it's the 'watch it grow' that I like best - including chubby loaches! ^__^

Oh indeed. But like...usually mine isn't set...uh, well like yours. You actually put a lot of thought into it, or so it looks unless your random planting actions are just that awesome...I find a place that looks like it has room, and stick it in, make sure it stays healthy and doesn't get all unhappy-like. Usually they do pretty good, but often once they grow in...they look off and scattered randomly, which they are. xD I always used the "It doesn't get put all gardener pretty by nature, it's more natural to just drop it in a random place" excuse for my tanks. Regardless, my fish seem to love it that way, but so long as they have plants to get into and investigate, I'm sure they'd love it if it was set up to be gorgeous too.

Maybe if I ever get a lot of money, I'll hire you to come tankscape for me. :3 Even if I try to think it through, I just don't seem to have a knack for it at all.

Gawd your tanks are pretty. I'm truly in love. <3 And I LOVE that frog, and those loachies. I think my chubby little kuhli's are the coolest things in my tank, I have a thing for loaches and cories, but my grandma always makes mean comments on how "Ugly" they are, and how creepy it makes my tank look with tiny snakes sliding around in them. I just don't see the ugly. I keep telling her not to be mean to my babies or she might make them hide and hurt feelings. T_T Though I suppose I can understand why some people think that way since a lot of folks just don't like the whole slimey, slithery, beady-eyes things, but personally I love them, and snakes, and frogs, and turtles, and eels, and as you know, Bichirs. :3

Yikes! I haven't had a chance to mess with pictures in a while - been busy. Here are some more already-uploaded from last summer. Might as well post them!

A Java fern and some Java moss going from submerged to emersed growth.

The smaller plant on the right had most recently been pulled out of the tank.
the slightly larger one on the left had been dry for longer...

You can see in the image above that the under-water leaves were looking a bit rough,
but the pretty new leaf in the center is happy as can be!
There may have been a Windelov in there too... ? I can't remember! >.<
Both these ferns (and the moss!) are doing well, and live in the terrarium now. ^__^

I would totally come do some heavy lifting to see that tank set up. I may be small, but I'm pretty much sold muscle!
Yes! Come help! Would you mind picking BWG up on your way, too? We'll need someone tall enough to reach the bottom of the tank, I think... ~.^
Willow is supposed to move in at some point, too - as long as we take her shopping and let her play with the toads, I'm sure she'll help.
. . .and Jen is a PHENOMENAL cook, so food should be covered! ^__^

We are going to have to do a bit more work on the stand, before it's ready to go. . .
Hmmm, I have some pics of it from autumn, it's come along since then, but I'll try to dig those up so you can get a general idea.
Currently, it's hidden behind a pile of wood, just waiting for the weather to break so we can go outside to get the stuff cut up and get to staining!
COME ON SPRING!!!

What a pretty shrimp! :3 I do so adore shrimp. I wish I could take photos like that. Mine always come out smeary or odd. Some come out good, but awesome ones, like that one I had of Capone...actually that one I had of Capone I have never been able to replicate. lol

Chesh gets all the awesome things. =P <3

I have some ghosts and oddballs I think are Yamato/Amano Shrimp, but they don't look right...black eggs and some brown coloring on them, but their faces say ghost and Amanos are usually more round-faced.

Love to get pictures, but HA! They're ghosts for a reason, see-through and hard to find. =P Well, I have a few in my breeder, oddly enough they seem to survive better when kept in a net than in my tanks, think it may be from old fertilizers or root tabs I no longer use. o-o; Wonder if that'll ever leave the place.

My camera is also broken, I can't get it to connect so I can upload them on the comp. T___T Which sucks because I had some great photos of my new tetras and my Blue crayfish, and of course my ferrets to share with you guys. T^T

Thanks everyone!
These little babies are tough to capture, I'm thrilledto have gotten a clear snap - it was a total lucky shot!

Knuggs - you can use the image on your for sale threads, if you want - they came from you, after all *GRINS*

We're just thrilled by these guys - I've never kept shrimp before, I hope they do well. . .we have one berried already - and it looks like two will be joining her soon. They settled right in and are SO much fun to watch.
LOVING these little guys! ^___^

Are you and Jess really whining about reaching the bottom of your tanks ???!? .. Ehhemmm .. I have to resort to tossing kids in the tank ATM .. And even then a step ladder for me to lift them in.

Jess!! Adorable skrimpy pic!! Luvs shrimps <3

heehee, I will NEVER whine about going swimming with my fishies! ^__^
I'm one of those weirdos who loves water changes and tank maintenance. As is, I wear a wifebeater (and a scuba mask :p) when I play in the 55 - 125 isn't going to be *that* much deeper, I can rock it ^__^

I take back what I said before - I now have TWO blues berried! *WOOTS*
I'm gonna have to break out my camera tonight and see if I can convince one of the girls to hold still enough for me to snag another lucky shot - having WAY too much fun with this tiny 5.5g to even think about the 125 right now :p
