I actually like Wisteria

I have it in both my Betta tanks.
I can't view your original picture (it's gone, or work firewalls block it) but I know that mine are pretty narrow in leaf size. They have fat leaves in their emersed form (above water) but once they switch over to submerged growth they get nice and bushy.
I tried having it in my 125g but my Diamond Tetras decided they taste yummy and all I had were bare stalks.
They'll form a good sized root ball though if planted, otherwise they'll grow roots out each node if left floating.
I also have Water Sprite, the narrow leaf variety. Not the best for floating (broadleaf is better) but I've never seen the broadleaf kind even online. The narrow leaf still floats fine and grows like a weed, so yes it is great for water quality. Anything that grows fast is great for water quality (which Wisteria will grow fast too if lighting is moderate to high).
