Idk, but its worth a try. I once had an aquaclear filter rated for 50 gallons. The impeller was broken
(probably because of cheap material) so I experimented with the 3 other impellers I had which came from a tetra filter that was rated for 5-15 gallons and 2 powerheads. The filter impeller from the tetra filter worked but I needed it for the original filter so I tried the powerhead impellers and they didn't work. I then made some adjustments to one of the impellers and now the filter works. The impeller that I used came from a powerhead that wouldn't even turn on so I put its impeller to some good use. Right now, I am using the filter for a 30 gallon aquarium and it seems to be working just fine.
