Will moonlight gouramis eat neons? Or is it reasonably safe to keep them together?

It is safe. Moonlights are one of the most peaceful gouramis, just keep it well fed and you will be fine.

Just to note, don't overfeed to keep him from eating neons. The chances are slim that he will, don't worry.

I have a dwarf gourami in with a small school of neons and they do great, havent had any problems yet.

Well there is a difference between dwarfs and moonlights. Dwarfs get 2 inches,moonlights get 4-5+ inches.

They still won't eat a neon, however. I think that was just a general statement about the passivity of gourami.

Ya that is why i (and i think you) are saying it will be fine. Cuz they are like pearls, big but nice. Ya i sort of thought that as well.

Thanks! I don't have a moonlight yet, and I probably won't be getting one unless I find out that it is okay to put one in with my pearl. I like them both a lot, but only have one big tank.
