Hey every 1, I Went to my Lfs to buy a Test Kit today and I Seen a Pleco that lived in a 1 gallon bowl, no filter, no light, no water flow, nothing so I Put the test kit Back and Said to myself that i cant just leave him there.
So I decided to try and save the Plecos Life.
Im Pretty sure its just a comman Pleco but I just wanna make sure.

Thanks.

well it will grow out of the hex, i would suggest you using the newspaper or something and give the thing away to someone that can accomodate it well. You could also use the fishforum thread to sell or give away the fish, its best to give it away when young since when its older it will be harder to move (cause it will be bigger lol)

I Know how big they get
(All my other ones got to 18 inchs(and BIGGER!)) but when i looked down at him I just couldnt take it.

Also when i had all my others we had algea wafers..,
can he live without them for a while?
(He is the first algea eater in this tank so hes got food for now...I Think...)
I am Going To grow him out a bit Because he is So so Thin.

And Eventually I Will Get a Paper and Try to Get Rid of Him.....
(How Much U Think I can get for Him? :BIGcha-ching: )

well you should give him away for free since they dont cost much at lfs anyway (5 dollars at petsmart), the price you get is the grattitude that you saved this little guy (or girls) life, i would suggest you buying a small packet of algae wafers, i bough this really small pacet that only had like 10 wafers in it for 3 dollars.

yeah they run about 2.50 or so here for the common ones. Anyways flatcam seems to have the most experience here with breeding them and whatnot so he's probably you're best bet with sexing them.

unless Flam runs a large commercial fish farm then i doubt he is breeding L. pardalis, In fact i can assure you 1000% percent he has no exp. breeding them, or anyone else on this site.

As posted in your other thread, you are going to struggle to sex that fish until long after it has outgrown your newt tank.
