I wanted to have a floor fish aquarium of 4'X3'X1' at my home but m confused as what kind of fishes to be kept there(soft or hard and name of fish), tanks draining system, water refilling system, nature of fishes, plants to be used.Which is ideal for home a fresh water aquarium or a salt water aquarium. I have totally messed up with this. Any help is appreciated and many many thanks in advance. I will be glad if u revert me on this.

I'm afraid I don't understand what a floor aquarium is . Does it sit on the floor or is it built into the floor with the top of the tank at floor level? We will need to that to be able to help you.

This is just my opinion but it could be stressful to the fish being walked on top of.
This would be a pricey project, you would need it custom built with extra thick glass.
As for fish, if you really want to do this, I think goldfish look best from above. Most tropical fish won't look very good when you look down on them.

Maybe I'm mistaken, but this sounds like an indoor pond, so you would need equipment & fish for a pond. I'm not sure how you would hide the equipment, but that's just design details, (disguise it in an end table next to the tank?). As Olympia said, goldfish & koi are fish that have been specifically bred for, what(?), going on a thousand years or more, to be viewed from above. And the best plants to be viewed from above are floating plants & plants like water lillies , that are planted down in the tank, but grow out of it.
