I just bought a 75 gallon tank used off of craigslist. When I got home I noticed the aquarium glass was
really cloudy. It had white stains on all four sides of the glass. I got my aquarium sponge and some warm water and started cleaning it and it appeared to all come off and be clear, once a couple minutes went by and it dried, the stains were there again and the glass was once again cloudy. So my question is, since it appeared the glass was clearer when wet, will these stains be noticeable once I fill it up with water, or will the glass still be cloudy? If so, Is there any way I can get the glass clear? If anyone could help me out with this, it would be great. Thanks:-?

Congrats. on your CL score! Those can be tough to get out but you can try white vinegar or lemon juice. If that doesn't work, try mixing either with baking soda and buff it out with a soft cloth.

The best way to tell if you aren't going to be able to see them once full is to fill it partially and check it out.

Good luck!
