Perhaps someone can help me. I have a 10 gallon tank, that has 2 guppies, 3 neon tetras, and used to have a Dalmatian Molly, which were all added 3 weeks ago. I found him dead in the afternoon, after he was active in the morning eating. The only noticeable thing about him was this white scar seeming like thing on him. It doesn’t look like ich, as I’ve dealt with ich in the past. He would also act weird, staying almost motionless near the heater or filter, but didn’t seem alarming. Anyone know how he died? All other fish seem okay.

Based on the photo, I would say he lost scales and this caused an infection that got him. He also looks like he had fin rot and is skinny but that might be the camera angle
Hey, I appreciate the response. I think now that you say it could’ve been infection. I didn’t notice any sign of tail rot and the camera angle was poor, but the most noticeable thing on him was the scales missing. Thank you!
