this is what he's looked like for the past 2+ months...

on saturday i did some rearranging and moved him a bit higher in the tank and where he'd get more flow. since then, he has looked like this...


tested water yesterday, everything good/within normal range. i moved him back down to the sand bed this morning, hoping he'd come back. i've been reading about "shedding" but i'm not sure if this is what he's doing. i don't want him to die and foul my tank but i also don't want to get rid of him prematurely.
