Yes, blue is right, rope fish can be quite aggressive hunters. Once the light goes out, anything in the tank will be vulnerable to its attacks. The size of the rope fish won't make much difference, they will attack and attempt to eat whatever they can catch. I lost 2 perfect blue rams when my ex tossed a rope fish into my community tank. The ropefish ate them both within 48 hrs, before I had the chance to remove it.
Rope fish are not community fish!
