In my 16 gallon, I've had ember tetras and green neons for a few months now, but rarely saw them except for feeding time or if I peeked into the room so they couldn't see me. The tank is in my office, though, so I'm in here all day and was getting pretty bummed out that my beautiful fish just hid in the plants all day.

Today I added 6 Harlequin Rasboras and what a difference! All my fish are now swimming about in the entire tank. The neons are still a little gun shy, but even they're much more visible. I can't believe what a different those Rasboras have made. Amazing! Not to mention how pretty they are.

interesting.

Sound like the rasboras broke up some established territories.

I don't think there were any territories - they all huddled in the corner under the anubias. Unless I wasn't in the room, then they swam around a little.

I have had similar experiences with Rasbora's and my Rummies.

The Rummies go everywhere with the addition of the Rasbora. Certainly the Rummies feel at ease with fish swimming about, above them.....
