Hi.

The titles a bit of an attention grabber.
Here's the situation. I have a 50 gal that has been running for a little over a year with a Fuval 207 on it and also an Aquaclear 50

I have another tank a 35 gal that isn't setup. If I were to bring over some plants, decoration, gravel , water and the Aquaclear filter complete from the established tank. Would that skip the cycling completely?

Reason I'm in a rush is this one Red Zebra Cichlid has become way bigger then the rest and really starting to nip and hurt the other Cichlids in the tank. I want to move him ASAP so none of the other fish die.

Thanks

It will greatly reduce the cycle time or maybe even be an instant cycle. If it's just the one fish you are putting in the new tank moving your existing filter you should be good. But do check water parameters each day for first couple weeks just to make sure you're cycled. Good luck!
