I have never used it but I know some that have and have never had a problem with it. The arcsenic released is released at the time of the cure or bonding and very small amounts don't seem to have any residual effects. Make sure to rinse the article veru well to remove and dust or aresnic possibly left over and it could work fine. I have even heard of those that use use it to secure coral and living rock unto the formations they want because the silicone is too bulky and won't cure fast enough.

That is interesting, I have been told by hardware people that once it is dry it inert. I guessit depends on the types and some may be bad for such applications. I wonder how much of the toxins actually can leech after beng put in the water if a small amount is used? I have seen many that use it without problems but like most things like this, more is definately not better and could be an issue of amounts and maybe not getting a complete cure before putting it in the water. Very good points.
