Substrate Depth

Hi everyone.

I plan on planting a carpet of Pygmy Chain Sword (Helanthium Tenellum) in the foreground of my aquarium, but am unsure if my substrate is deep enough. In the foreground I have a 1.5" deep layer of Eco-Complete gravel. Is this deep enough to keep the plant healthy?

Yes. I even have this species growing in sand that is only 1 inch deep, and about 3/4 of an inch in some places.
