I have thought about it for a while and I think I'm going to jump into the turtle world. I have found a Golden Thread turtle locally that someone is wanting to rehome. The tank he comes with won't last him long but it is a free tank.

I'm thinking about picking up a 150g or 300g stock tank for my turtles, then build a basking area for them.

Not sure what other turtles I might look at but I'm thinking about a Southern painted or maybe yellow bellied slider.

Any tips for a turtle newbie?

Hi Warhawk very impressive tanks you have . I just checked out your YouTube page, well done !

You could check with Seahorse, she has turtles and is very knowlegable about them.

Thanks, I'm still learning the Youtube stuff but I'm getting the hang of it.

I got that little golden thread and I really like her she is a blast to watch. Also talked to some family that has a few turtles as pets and when I told them about mine they want me to give theirs a good home. So when I go on vacation next month I will pick those guys up.

I will check out Seahorse and watch for her posts.
