Hi guys, Iam planning to buy a new tank, its 3foot long, 1 foot up, 25cm front back. I want to properly cycle this tank and give my fish the best possible set up, also Iam willing to spend 20bucks on gravel and sand. I have potted plants which are easy to maintain. Should I cycle the tank with the plants in there or should I place them in my 10gal spare tank in the meantime? Also I want to keep a carnivore fish. Any ideas? Thanks guys. One more thing, should i get aquarium media without putting them in my filter. I would get a test kit ASAP.

Thanks for the great advice! Pictus cat it is! I will update about the tank when iam back from Taiwan. Starting cycling on thursday next week, do u guys think the fish accesories there are cheaper?
