Very clear photos! Have you tried to take your pictures in a dark room without the flash and just use the tank lighting?

That is how i usally take pictures but it was late and all the lights were off in this room already so i didnt want to wake them all up. Thats why the flag cichlid is showing those dark sleeping colors. I will for sure have more pics comming since ive been toying with this camera.

congrats on the camera. i typically keep my Fstop at about f10 for good sharpness and a greater DOF. fastest shutter speed possible. lowest possible ISO. my nano has a lot more light then my 10 gal so its easier to shoot. i also shoot with a +5 exposure comp. this works for me..

Thanks for all the kind words.

Its hard taking good pics in a big tank. if the fish arnt up close it doesnt look good. still need to figure out how to set that up right.

Sweet pics and awesome tank. I have always thought of getting hakefish, or is it hagfish, if I ever set up a really big salty tank but I would hate to try and clean up after them.

Nice senegalus and lung fish. I can't even pronounce the others  but the odd couple is a priceless pic!

What are your camera settings so we can get some kind of consencious on the best setting or at least more ideas for others to try?

Have you ever considered fire loaches, I think they are eels or something actually? They might look sweet in there if they would fit and mix with the present residents.

Hagfish? None of the fish pictured are salt. I think your confusing the fahaka (tetraodon lineatus) with a hagfish. the fahaka is a freshwater puffer from africa. The odd couple spend a lot of time together... too much time.

Fire loaches? I think your talking about fire eels. I was going to add one a while back but since they do get 3' and get hungry for fish as they get that big i figured it wasnt worth it.

GeraldFrye: it may not be a looker but its by far the most interesting fish ive ever owned and the reason i got the big tank. By far my fav fish.

I know it is not salt, should have stated that but either way, sweet tank. I didn't know they got that big. A friend of mine has 3 of them in a 75 and they are very happy. Maybe I should let him know or maybe we are talking about 2 different fish.

BTW, what does a lung fish eat? It looks like it could eat just about anything.

I wll try to find one, but I don't know that they would be a fish to have in a salt tank. When they get stressed the release a substance that creates a mass of slimy jelly type material that reacts with salt water and makes buckets of slime in a few minutes. If the tank was big enough maybe, but what a mess, lol.

I will look for alink so you will have some more information I can find one.
