Well, You could start how I did. Easy, beautiful, and various. Guppies! Getting guppies are great for beginning but be careful because they WILL breed. They are livebearers so you will have tens of baby guppies in there within 2 months.
So I did get some fish yesterday. I totally forgot about this thread lol! But I settled for 3 nice beautiful glofish tetras! They seem to love their new home. They had to get some time to get used to each other, but now they are happy and nice to each other. I am thinking of building my own filter with activated charcoal. This may help with my slightly murky water. I may be getting some shrimp and snails, can someone gimme some info on why they are needed and how to stock/buy and take care of them? Thanks so much guys! Posted via Mobile Device
Well, I can't tell you much about shrimp, but let me tell you. I absolutely LOVE snails in my tank. I am a fan of mainly apple snails and gold mystery snails.I usually throw in an algae wafer and they go back and forth to it all day long. But give them stuff to climb on. Maybe a large rock here and there for fun.
