Hi to all , I am new to all of this . But I need to know if all is ok .I have gravel in the bottom , one plant , I do have a penguin 200 filter , Its all been set up 1 week today . It was clear but as time goes on it is now cloudy .I will get a couple catfish next week when I get some money .There are no fish in it yet .Thanks for your input .

You need to read up on the nitrogen cycle here. You aren't ready for fish yet unless you want to do large daily water changes? What kind of catfish? 29g isn't very big.

Cories are rather sensitive, you are going to want to do a fishless cycle with pure ammonia before you get any.

I would do a livebearer tank. They would love that tank setup, other fish (blackwater fish) probably not. Cories need nice big schools, sand, and a lot of hiding places.
