I decided to join as I have started a new (bigger) tank than the previous one and I need all the help I can get for future headaches and problems.

I would like to ask if anyone is interested about the tank history, to please read the whole thread here as I am gonna sit forever to copy and paste all the pages, unless the mods know of an easier way. Here is the link and I will try and upload some pics to start this threadI promise I will not attach a link after this again but it is really too much to copy over)

Here is some pics of the new setup:

Wow, I can't believe you built that! That is such an amazing DIY job. I spent at least a half-hour reading through the progress you were making and each step, and still have more pages to read. Quite the tedious task you took on, but well worth the outcome I think. It's an amazing tank with a beautiful set-up.

Thank youZule, it was, and is still not easy, but I think I am learning a lot in the process. But if ever I have to move or sell the house, I'll never take on something like this again. But definately a smaller one, as it is not easy(cheap) to stock a tank this size if you only earning a monthly wage...

Yes Bobo, I am fortunate to have had 02 of them. I gave one to a good friend. They definately keeping the tank free of detritus, especially behind the hard to reach areas. The starfish will dissapear behind the rockwork, only to come out 02 days later. So yes, a good "Vacume Cleaner"..LoL

South Africa 1001- nice to see a familiar name- you still living in SA- if so, then you'll know how we battle to keep our tanks running with all the powercuts...

I received some nice Coral over the weekend. Tried to upload a small video at YouTube, but it is not working, so decided to upload through Google.

Anyone interested, click on the link below, once the page opened, just give it a couple of seconds to buffer, it'll start showing after buffer completed:

Hope it works....

Sean, What an amazing project you had on your hands there. Kudos to you for pulling it off. Excellent Job! Question is, When are you planning to swing on by and install mine?
Thank you, but I doubt I'll ever take on a project like this again. Too much stress and nightmares and too little money....LoL.

I am however busy planning a "Beach setup" that I would like to incorporate into/onto the side of the tank. Busy on the planning as it need to be aesthetical as well as the fact that I am still working on the problem as to how to keep the sand from sliding into the tank and still have small waves, but I have an Engineer friend looking into it. Hopefully soon....

No worries, I have upgrade plans of myown, but not for another year or so.

Best of luck on the beach setup. I'm planning a Beach Shadowbox type Coffee Table as my next project. The table top will be a 4' long x 1.5' wide, shallow (about 4"-5") box covered with tabletop glass. Beach sand and shells will be landscaped into the box and prayed with a matte model landscaping adhesive. A DIY thread on the build will inevitably follow. :)

Thank you guys for the comments. SK Auston, good luck with your setup. Yes, I did find the Id, it was some type of fish that apparently swims up the rectum of a certain fish and cleans it. Forgot the name. Will have to check up as to where the post is.....

Which leather would you like to have a closep pic on Blue Blue??? The Colt Or the huge leather towards the right of the tank???
