My substrate is CaribSea Super naturals Tahitian black sand. It's pretty fine grained. I am just starting this aquarium, and in it are amazon sword, dwarf hairgrass, crypt wendii, moneywort, and a banana plant.
I am thinking root tabs, since most of these are root feeders, but I noticed seachem flourish tabs say on the front it's for gravel bed supplement. Would it work effectively in a fine grain sand? And if not, will a liquid additive be adequate for root feeders?
Thanks for any help :)

The root tabs will work fine in sand and your root feeders will appreciate them. I would also suggest using Comprehensive along with the root tabs as there are some nutrients that taken up by the leaves.

Ok, thank you for the answer! I was worried the sand, being more tightly packed, would prevent the nutients from spreading away from the tab. I'll also look into supplementing with the Comprehensive you suggested.
