When the water evaporates, the salt stays in so the salt level gets more concentrated. Should I be replacing the water as it evaporates? I've heard conflicting things.

Thanks!

Thank you Jazmine! We ended up using tap water to replace the water but we put in drops of... I forget what it is called... to make the water suitable to be added to the tank. The fish seem to be doing just fine. It's been almost a month. I think we can move on from damsels and get bigger fish soon!

Reverse Osmosis which means that it's distilled water being added to the saltwater to equal out the minerals and salt in the saltwater. That's the easiest way I can explain it but here is a site to explain it in detail.
