So I recently discovered that my pH is around 8.2-8.4 in my 20 gallon tank.
It comes out of my tap at about 7.8-8.0.
I've seen various people around different boards say not to worry too much about pH, as a pH that is too high is better than a pH that fluctuates often.
So should I worry about lowering the pH in my tank or just let it ride?
I've currently got a Blue Gourami, Gold Gourami, and an Opaline Gourami in there but I've been informed that those fish aren't really appropriate for my tank, so I'm going to be taking them to PetCo I think, so they can be "adopted".
I want to get some Von Rio Flame tetras, maybe some other kinds of tetras, and possibly some corydoras in there.
I know that they prefer their water to be more acidic but will it harm them if I keep the pH high or should I lower it?
