How do you start a sucsessful tank cause the last time i started one i couldnt kepp them alive.

The very first part in a successful tank is, Cycling. There is a sticky here explaining how to cycle. I can give you the link if you like

If you're willing to take another shot at it, we'll be more than happy to help you out.

First, tell us a little about your last tank. What size was it? What kind of fish did you have in it? How many did you have? Did you cycle the tank before putting fish in there? What sort of filtration did you have? Did they die suddenly or did they just waste away? Any info you can think of is great.
