Okay, so a few days ago I bought a new 36 gallon bow front fish tank at Petsmart. I was looking at the Aqueon Quietflow filters and they recommended the Quietflow 30 as it states it is good for tanks up to 45 gallon so I bought that. However, I have seen a lot of places claiming it is only good for 30 gallon tanks.

Is this filter going to be a problem for my tank?

I think it does about 200 gallons per hour... so your tank will turn over 5.5 times per hour. It would probably be ok but what would really be good is the Aqueon 55/75 which does 400 gallons per hour. Depends on how clean you like the water to look

To jump back to this, I added a Marineland Penguin Biowheel 150 to the tank from my old tank.

Do you think that is a better amount of filtration now?
