Hi guys. I use a powersweep 228 powerhead in my 55 gallon tank. It pumps 270 gpm and the spout swings back and forth 90 degrees to eliminate dead spots which is nice because it doesn't flow water in just one area. I don't know if this will help you, but I really like this powerhead; the only down side that I can think of is that it has to be cleaned every once in a while so it continues to sweep back an forth.
