I'm wondering if there is a type of pleco that remains as small as possible and produces as little waste as possible. My ten gallon could really use a pleco, but I don't want to overdo the tank.

i would buy a few otos stay at 2" i think mybe three would be ok

otos? Is that a fish that most LPS's have?? Sorry, I'm not familiar with it

My corys do a good job on gravel, but will these do good on the glass?

I love plecos, but also wanted something that would stay small. And that's when I found the bristlenose plecos. Adult size is 5-6 inches. Great algae eaters.

I have a book that says butterfly plecos are also good algae eaters, and stay small -- about 4 inches. But it is recommended to have only one in a tank.

i would go with the otos you already have 2 clown loaches 1 Bichir and guppys so your tank is full

I went ahead with the oto, it's been in there a couple a couple hours and there is already progress....lots of work to do, but it's eating lots of crap!

You could also try Clown Pleco's they dont get any bigger than 4 inche's or Bristlenose's as they are the best alge eater's and stay smaller than 6 to 7 inche's!

10 Gallon Pleco

The best pleco for your tank would be a bristlenose. They only get 5 to 6 in. long and are the most affordable of the small plecos. You can get them on ebay fairly cheep and they will be delivered to your door. Any other questions you an find me at www.myspace.com/aquatic_bay Hope this helped
