Hello! :)

I want to setup a tank mainly consisting of 3 Bala Sharks. The tank will be bare bottom with driftwood and some large rocks. Now I was wondering if a 30 gallon tank would suffice for this or should I get a 4 feeter (120 gallon) tank?

I would be really glad if the 30 gallon tank would work (due to a little space constraint in my house) but if it's not going to work at all then I'll get the 120 gallon tank. Will clear some stuff in the house in that case.

My tank measurements for the 30 gallon and 120 gallon tanks are:

30 Gallon Tank ( L X W X H) = 30 X 15 X 17 inches

120 Gallon Tank (L X W X H) = 48 X 24 X 25 inches

Please advice.

TIA

Welcome to Tropical Fish Keeping forum.

We have profiles of many fish, second tab from the left in the blue bar at the top; or you can click on the shaded name of a fish in posts. The profile of the Bala Shark mentiones that it attains 14-16 inches, must be in a group of at least 5 (it has a high social structure) and requires at least a 6-foot but preferably 8-foot tank.

Byron.
