I have two pictus catfish that have gotten along and lived together in a ship prop in my tank but now one of them bullies the other and he is forced to live in a cramed little log prop. The pictus that lives in the ship will go over to the log and continue to fight him. The log catfish seems to be getting weaker and less active daily. Is it territorial??
you should remove the bully or the weak one.a 29 gallon is a little small for 2 pictus.they may be small now but they will get to 10 inches when adult. they do better in 3 or more but you'll need a very large tank for that.
well if you want both you need a bigger tank or move one to another tank.. since you dont have another tank i think its time to look on craigslist bro..i got 2 55 gallon tanks for $90.there cheap on craigslist.
6 inches is more likely, though some species can reach 10 inches. In either case, the tank is too small for them.
The problem you are having is due to not having only 2. They need a school. Aggression is amplified in a small tank.
