My 20 gallon tank and my 5 gallon quarantine are doing pretty well, I think--no ammonia, no chlorine, no nitrites, and nitrates at 20.
However, the ph level is about 7.8. One online store told me not to try to adjust it, but I ordered some green neon tetra from them and lost 10 of 12 ordered.
The two that survived seem happy and hungry, along with a honey gourami, swordtail, Endlers, and Amano shrimp, who seem to get along well.
Should I try to change the ph level in both tanks? Another online store suggested I do this if I want green neon tetra. I wonder if I could do green neon rasbora instead and not subject the other fish to such.
Any advice? Thanks.
