Hi all.
Just to inform you I bought 4 rummy-nose tetras and after further investigation, the rummies are Petitella georgiae or false rummy-nose tetras. As I had previously mentioned, I was going to buy them to investigate the existence of albinos. After 3 days of being in my tank, no red coloration has appeared and their bodies are slightly yellow which led to me guess that it could be Xanthic false rummy-nose tetras. Xanthic morphs have yellow pigment. I cannot consider them albinos considering they lack the red eyes which most albinos have.
Note that these rummies are in their excellent health condition so there's no telling they are ill or rather detecting false alarms for water conditions. If they did, they would have pine away. They have been eating voraciously and on top of that, the two females are ripe with eggs. I have no intention to breed them however as I cannot find my time to hatch the eggs and raise the fry soon after. I will be shopping for more soon as they're irresistible.:wink2:
Pictures will be updated soon. My apologies for the delay of pictures as I rarely am touching the camera.
Reason for editing: Thread title changed and revisions done due to errors.
