Hi all and thanks for taking the time to read. Last night I woke up around 1 30 am. Not being able to go back to sleep, I watched the fish. I noticed that my Orlanda Goldfish had something on her face that looked like a pimple. When I woke up in the afternoon ( about 4:00 PM) before work ( I work nights) I checked on the goldfish and the spot was gone. The spot was located on her head right under her eye. The spot was about the size of the letter O on your keyboard. She is a white fish approximately 5" long and the outer ring was red and the inner area was white. Just want to know if this is something that I should worry about. Water temp is between 74 and 76 degrees. Ph is 7.6 and ammonia is 0. She is still eating healthy and swimming/breathing fine. Any help would be appreciated.

It sounds like she might have bumped into something. Is there anything sharp (or protruding at all) in the tank? Orandas (and fancy goldfish in general) are notoriously clumsy fish. My fancy goldfish tank is the least decorated of all my tanks to give them enough room to move without bumping into things.

Ha so true that they are clumsy fish! I have some decorations in there and your probably right. When I go to bed she spends the night scouring the bottom of the tank for food. The mark has cleared up with no further problems. I am still going to keep an extra check on her but for the mean time I am going to go with your answer. Thanks again!
