Dwarves like kribs or apistos, or africans or Jack Dempsies or Jags, or Frontosas? Where are you? Or angelfish?

we have 3 African and 2 Dempseys.. im pretty new to the cichlids not sure what mixes well I was told the Africans don't mix well with Dempseys but they been in the tank together for at least a year or so the people I bought it from told me im in san Antonio and the only ones the fish stores here had were little ones and my jacks are 5inch
