Nick are you sure that the "vienna" is not pulsing Xenia? The green tipped is known as GSP or green star polyp. Your canday cane trumpet will grow quickly. Looks to be really coming along now.
I believe its a xenia. I used to have alot of it till I switched lighting. That stuff is real sensitive.

Thanks usmc. I have already looked into the algea bloom. Me and my buddy have already talked about it and he already has the special lights to clear it up. I may be moving to fast but its not like i started from an un cycled tank. I take all pre cautions with my corals. Such as getting them used to the salinity in the water by introducing a few cups at a time of water into the coral's bag and such. Thanks for the information :D

To clear the algea off of stuff there is no special light, but there is a special light ( UV Sterilizer) to kill the free floating algea and everything else in the tank. Is that the light your talking about? Besides that seems like your doing good. Its also nice to have help when your not sure how to do things.

Nick using cured rock and cycled stuff will not prevent a diatom bloom. It's caused when all your hard work settles in. When you stir up the substrate pouring it in the tank, when you moved the rocks, when you add corals. Please you've done well so far but learn patience. It will bite you in the ass if you continue at the same pace. And remember your tank is tiny, be gentle.

As a reference I just bought a 400g tank. I'm not even planning to put water in it for over a year.

I wasnt planning on adding any chemicals :demented: And I havnt touched my tank since I put the corals in. I'm not planning on doing anything else for a while now. Just cant seem to find my little damsel...I think my shrimp may be the victim. But if thats the case...The shrimps out of here because I'm planning on getting a clown fish and was a couple others...

*sigh*

But my buddy warned me when he gave it to me because he ate two of his fishes but when he was netting the shrimp up its defense mechanism is to de-claw his claws so he didnt have his claws. But now he shed his outer skin and now has his claws...So i just dont know :demented:
