Hi:

I have 2 Dalmatian Mollies, 2 Sunset Platies and 1 gold zebra Danio.

I think I figured it out. He's not sick, he's stressed. The white Dalmatian has turned into a bully and is chasing and nipping the black Dalmatian. It started after I raised the temp to near the max. I've lower it to their mid range (75) and he's less aggressive. At least the black one is no longer cowering on the gravel.

Aside from removing the offender, you could introduce plants and or shale for hiding places.

I don't have another tank to put him in unfortunately. I do have two hiding spots which another fish has used. Will get more plants probably tomorrow.

Mollies do well with a bit of salt in the water... not if you have plants though.

LOL! I've seen mollies be acclimated to straight up salt water tanks.
