Hi!
I'm in the process of returning to the fish keeping hobby. I haven't had any tanks set up for about 30 years. When we had tanks set up 30 plus years ago we had approx. 20 tanks of various sizes, running breeder tanks as well as quarantine and hospital tanks. Our 65 gal. was our show tank and we enjoyed it a lot.
The house we lived in previous to this one, really didn't have any suitable location for a tank and we were a very busy family so all of our tanks and equipment were stored away until now. We now live in a house that is more suitable to having a tank or two set up to enjoy so I'm setting up our 65 gal. tank. First thing I'm doing is building a stand and canopy and going from there. I'm sure I'll be here quite often looking for help or info, as I've noticed things have changed a lot since we were involved in the tropical fish hobby.

if your tank has been in storage for that long, you may want to fill it and test out the silicone before you set it up. this is especially important if the tank has been stored in a place with temperature fluctuations as the silicone can degrade. welcome back!

Thanks.
Already thought of that. I'm setting it on the frame for the stand today and filling it with water. My fingers are crossed.
