Hey guys could use some advice. For last two months I've been fighting an issue of new tank syndrome. I've tried just about everything I can do and my ammonia keeps shooting up to 2.0ppm, nitrate at 0, and nitrite at 0. My tanks been up for over a year. Tanks a 20gal with three sterbai cory, two rasbora, 1 betta, 1 gourami, and 1 Otto. I was only feeding every 3 days, doing water changes every two weeks when needed, and only vacuuming gravel 1 time a month. When out of the blue cycle crashed. I've been doing daily 5 gallon water changes with seachem prime and stability for two months and no changes.

Try adding some store bought bacteria, it helped me a lot and is an excellent booster.

Yes get seachem stability, dose it every day for a week. Also from what I understand your test kit will still read ammonia even once the prime converts it to a safe compound.

Sorry I couldn't reply I was on vacation for 10 days with no internet. I have never personally tried Seachem Stability I always just use API or Topfin, despite what some people think I have found it actually works pretty well.
