:)Ive always had a betta in a 3 to 5 gallon tank filtered.since I moved in with my daugther and my grandchildren i gave my last Betta to a friend who has a 150 gallon tank.he is in a community..I got a new lovely betta half moon a few weeks ago and have him in a 2 gallon filtered tank with light and flat paddle heater...I want to get a 10 to 20 gallon to set up...im not sure what I want in the tank since ive only had gold fish or betta's..Im thinking of mollys or guppys or even angel fish..im not sure about different species of fish in a community tank..ill probably just stick to one species and see how that works..I really cant up the size if fish grow big due to me just haveing one room and the tank will be in there...not in any other part of the house so im here to read over posts and just say hello..if anyone has advice please feel free to post...Thank you so much.Tinkerpie

I wouldn't put Bettas and Angels together. In a 10-20 gallon set up (which I am gonna do fr my betta) I would put the betta with some small cory catfish and or maybe some neon or black neon tetras. You could also do guppies (using caution because of fancy fins), mollies, danios or platies. Of course all suggestions are with caution. Bettas can be very particular and, like people, have very varying personalities.
